She has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $5,850. The registrar has said Melanie can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Melanie has a distinction average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Melanie would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Melanie isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Rochester State College bursar's office.
