A rainwater harvesting system for Pioneer Park: help our neighbors in Aurangabad
Volunteers in Aurangabad are raising $500 for a rainwater harvesting system at Pioneer Park.
🇮🇳 India985 views
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Pioneer Park, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 420 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $500 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $65
• Materials: $380
• Permits and inspections: $55
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
