A rainwater harvesting system: a volunteer-led effort in Cleveland
Volunteers in Cleveland are raising $3,250 for a rainwater harvesting system at Pioneer Primary School.
🇺🇸 Cleveland, Ohio, United States862 views
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Pioneer Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $3,250.
It will serve about 452 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,250 goes:
• Materials: $2,600
• Permits and inspections: $310
• Safety equipment and signage: $340
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Sending strength. Hope this works out for you. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
