I live with profound hearing loss. My occupational therapist at the The Hague Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $3,050. My current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 12 weeks. With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $3,050 goes: • powered wheelchair: $2,300 • Fitting and training sessions: $200 • Delivery and set-up: $160 • First-year servicing plan: $390 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Nafissatou
