Surgery fund for Lucie: hip replacement surgery in Paris
After osteoarthritis in the right knee, Lucie was cleared for hip replacement surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Lucie was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee in August. The surgeon at Paris Community Hospital recommended hip replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $4,550, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $3,200 short.
my mother has been in and out of Paris Community Hospital since August. The doctors say osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $4,550 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Lucie struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Lucie won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
