A playground for the Union vacant lot: help our neighbors in Nuremberg
A community-led a playground at the Union vacant lot that will serve 105 neighbors.
🇩🇪 Bavaria, Germany1,423 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $850.
It will serve about 105 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $850 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $300
• Permits and inspections: $160
• Safety equipment and signage: $390
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Tools hire and delivery is $300 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Thanks for looking so closely.
