My son Papa has been accepted for treatment at Tarkwa University Hospital in Tarkwa, starting on Sunday in September. We live 335 km away in a village four hours away, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself. We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 5 weeks. Two of us would stay: Papa and me. We can contribute $10 a week and cook for the household if you'd like. Papa will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Praying for you, Samuel. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Take care.

Thanks for sharing this, Samuel. I hope things turn around soon. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from São Paulo

      • Stay strong, Samuel. Wishing Papa a smooth procedure and a full recovery

        • Best of luck, Samuel. Hope this works out for you. I'm in retail myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.

          • Best of luck. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best

            • You're not alone. Get well soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. God bless
