Rawalpindi
My family left Ethiopia 12 months ago after our home was destroyed. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Rawalpindi. We're a family of four and we're safe, but we arrived with very little. Our resettlement agency has provided 4 months of rent, and that support ends in May. I was a mechanic in Ethiopia, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well. We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months. Funds are managed by the Rawalpindi Welcome Table charity, a registered organization, which pays the landlord and suppliers on the family's behalf. Where the $250 goes: • Language classes and bus passes: $65 • Winter clothing and school supplies: $35 • Beds, table and basic furniture: $150 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Updates from Muhammad

  1. Update from Rawalpindi: the first invoice got paid this week. We're at 26% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  2. Wanted to say thank you properly. 14% funded and the plan for winter clothing and school supplies is now scheduled.
