A rainwater harvesting system: a volunteer-led effort in Barranquilla
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a rainwater harvesting system - we need $750 for materials.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Park, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $200, and the remaining cost is $750.
It will serve about 312 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Materials: $600
• Safety equipment and signage: $75
• Tools hire and delivery: $75
