A fresh start in Istanbul: help the Yusuf family resettle
The Yusuf family are rebuilding in Istanbul after leaving Afghanistan; your gift pays for housing basics.

My family left Afghanistan 9 months ago after we were targeted for our work. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Istanbul. We're a family of seven and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 4 months of rent, and that support ends in November.
I was a shopkeeper in Afghanistan, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $750 goes:
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $70
• Language classes and bus passes: $130
• Rent deposit and first month: $300
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $250
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
