A fresh start in Addis Ababa: help the Rahimi family resettle
Help a family of 6 start their new life in Addis Ababa: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.

My family left Yemen 8 months ago after we could no longer live safely. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Addis Ababa. We're a family of seven and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 3 months of rent, and that support ends in November.
I was an electrician in Yemen, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $450 goes:
• Rent deposit and first month: $250
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $95
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $35
• Language classes and bus passes: $50
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $20
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

take care, Konjit. Hope you get there. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care
