A covered market stall space for the Pioneer vacant lot: help our neighbors in Quezon City
Volunteers in Quezon City are raising $600 for a covered market stall space at the Pioneer vacant lot.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $170, and the remaining cost is $600.
It will serve about 477 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $600 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $40
• Materials: $470
• Permits and inspections: $90
