A covered market stall space for the Lotus community hall: help our neighbors in Madrid

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a covered market stall space - we need $1,700 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Lotus community hall, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $1,700. It will serve about 451 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $1,700 goes: • Materials: $1,300 • Tools hire and delivery: $200 • Permits and inspections: $200 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
