Niterói
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Park, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $650. It will serve about 83 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $650 goes: • Materials: $370 • Tools hire and delivery: $175 • Permits and inspections: $105 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
