For three years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty community hall, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $2,200. It will serve about 585 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $2,200 goes: โ€ข Materials: $1,550 โ€ข Permits and inspections: $190 โ€ข Safety equipment and signage: $175 โ€ข Tools hire and delivery: $285 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people. - Amelia
