A community garden for the old Sycamore bus depot: help our neighbors in Bangkok

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $300 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Sycamore bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $300. It will serve about 310 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in February and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $300 goes: • Permits and inspections: $70 • Tools hire and delivery: $145 • Safety equipment and signage: $85 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
