A community fridge for the Lotus vacant lot: help our neighbors in Arlington

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $2,550 for materials.

Arlington
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Lotus vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $2,550. It will serve about 88 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $2,550 goes: • Permits and inspections: $340 • Safety equipment and signage: $320 • Materials: $1,890 Thanks for being kind about this. - Jyoti
