I'm Vanessa, 18, in Year 12. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study architecture.
I have a distinction average, I volunteer at my church youth group and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until November. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.

Sending good thoughts, Vanessa. This could happen to any of us
Thanks for sharing this. I hope things turn around soon. We're a small family in New York but we're thinking of you!
Hang in there, Vanessa. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't be hard on yourself for asking
Thinking of you and your family. Shared it with a few friends. Thinking of Niterói.
Take care. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Wish I lived closer to Nagpur so I could bring a meal. God bless.
