I'm Jie, 17, in my final year of high school. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study architecture.
I have a 3.7 average, I volunteer at a food pantry and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until October. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Hang in there, Jie. Hope this works out for you. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from São Paulo!
Good luck, Jie. Hope this works out for you. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.
