Pradeep served fourteen years in the engineering corps and was discharged in 2023 with a service-related knee injury. He has been waiting seven months for support, and meanwhile is sleeping at a brother's place.
The plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote comes to $500.
Pradeep is receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and is committed to recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $500 goes:
• Training provider fees: $190
• Housing deposit and first month: $165
• Transport to appointments: $55
• Essential household items: $90
Glad we found this place.
