I coordinate donations at Union Refugee Centre in Bordeaux. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Bordeaux, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Union Refugee Centre on Sunday between 10am and 3pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Union Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Wishing you the best, Ethan. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'll check back for the next update. Love from Peoria.
Take care. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My husband and I read this together. God bless
You're not alone. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I'm in public service myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best
Hang in there, Ethan. I hope things turn around soon. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. All the best.
Gave what I could, wish it was more. Put this on a community board in Thane this morning. Greetings from Thane.
