I coordinate donations at the Acacia Community Church in Kanpur. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Kanpur, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Acacia Community Church on Thursday between 11am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Acacia Community Church clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • so sorry you're going through this, Chinmay. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.

    • Sending strength, Chinmay. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend
