I coordinate donations at Sycamore Refugee Centre in Cork. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Cork, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Sycamore Refugee Centre on Wednesday between 10am and 4pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Sycamore Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

    • Thanks for sharing this. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. I hope June is when things finally get easier. God bless.

        • Sending strength, Maeve. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Gangnam.
