Help Kwabena keep the Neighbors' Pantry pantry stocked
Kwabena runs a volunteer pantry feeding 180 families; this fund restocks shelves for the harvest gap.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Tuesday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 26 families, and now we feed 180 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 41% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 13 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Obuasi market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $450 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $130
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $220
• Baby formula and diapers: $60
• Refrigeration and electricity: $40
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Kwabena
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale) comes first ($130) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Thanks, that means a lot.
Rooting for you. Shared it with a few friends. I'll check back for the next update.
Hope this works out for you. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust!
Sending love, Kwabena. Hope this works out for you. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too
Sending good thoughts. More neighborhoods should do this. Don't give up. Blessings
rooting for you, Kwabena. Hope you get there. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
