48 pairs of children's shoes for the Harmony Community Church

A simple way to help: donate warm clothing for kids at the Harmony Community Church.

🇺🇸 Rockford, Illinois, United States1,017 views
I coordinate donations at the Harmony Community Church in Rockford. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Rockford, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Harmony Community Church on Monday between 9am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Harmony Community Church clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Sending good thoughts. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too

          • wishing you the best. Shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Rockford.
