35 volunteers for the Refugee Welcome Picnic in Manchester
We are short of hands for the Refugee Welcome Picnic; can you spare a morning?
🇬🇧 England, United Kingdom640 views
Every year the Refugee Welcome Picnic brings together 577 neighbors in Manchester. I help organize it with 12 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for stewarding, first-aid support and clean-up. Shifts are two to three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a fun day for all ages, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
- effort
- 3-hour shift
- format
- In person in Manchester
- skills
- friendly attitude, willingness to help

hope it all works out. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't give up. God bless.
Good luck, Elias. Hope you get there. Wish I lived closer to Newcastle so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Manchester.
