Legal fees for Iman's citizenship application in Jeddah
A citizenship application deadline is approaching and Iman can't afford the lawyer.
🇸🇦 Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia1,163 views
I'm facing a citizenship application. My hearing is scheduled for September, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $2,200. I have been told by three legal-aid offices that their waiting list is longer than my deadline.
I have all of my paperwork ready, and my caseworker at the Jeddah Community Legal Centre has confirmed that my case is valid.
If I miss the deadline I could lose my right to stay with my family and my job. My children were born here and this is the only home they know.
I'll share any non-sensitive updates as the case moves along.
Funds cover only the filing fees, translations and attorney retainer.
Where the $2,200 goes:
• Filing and biometrics fees: $290
• Court-appointed interpreter and travel: $110
• Attorney retainer: $1,800
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

is there anything that isn't money that would help Iman?
Thank you. If you're in Jeddah I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. It helps to be asked.
Best of luck. Hope you get there. I hope September is when things finally get easier. Love from Ogbomosho.
