We're short of hands for the Refugee Welcome Picnic; can you spare a morning?

Every year the Refugee Welcome Picnic brings together 407 neighbors in Los Angeles. I help organize it with 10 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for stewarding, first-aid support and clean-up. Shifts are four hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a family-friendly day, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. Thank you so much.

  • sending love, Parker. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. All the best.
