I've worked in shoemaking from 1979 to 1994. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 440 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I carry a notebook everywhere.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
