Zainab Hussein
Drums player and teacher in Cairo
- 🇪🇬 Cairo, Cairo, Egypt
- Cairo Ensemble
- 1996 to 2020
- English, Arabic
I play drums and choir direction. I started in 1996 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 19 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I garden badly but happily.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Zainab
I wrote my first song when I was 17. It was terrible and I still love it.

What gifts mean to Zainab: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.
