Mazen Ziad Sabbagh
Choir director and singer
- 🇪🇬 Heliopolis, Cairo, Egypt
- Heliopolis Sunrise Ensemble
- Since 1978
- English, Arabic
I've played oud since 1978, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach.
I teach about 11 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I garden badly but happily.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mazen
If you ever danced at one of my shows, I hope it was a good night.
Instruments or styles
What gifts mean to Mazen: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
