Yves Clément Breton
Coached chess for 46 years in Québec
- 🇨🇦 Québec, Quebec, Canada
- Québec Starlight Athletic Club
- Since 1980
- English, French
For 46 years I've run the chess program at Québec Starlight Athletic Club in Québec. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Yves
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Yves: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
