I coached athletics at Berlin Parkside Swimming Club from 1996 to 2013. Most of my players were between 10 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I run most mornings.
More about Yasemin
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Yasemin: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
