I came to teaching late, after working as a nurse, and 40 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. Inside it, I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
