Wegayehu Tigist Regassa
Painter, potter and teacher at Old Hawassa Pottery
- 🇪🇹 Hawassa, Sidama, Ethiopia
- Since 2006
- English
I work mostly in photography, sometimes ceramics. My first show was in 2006 at Old Hawassa Pottery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I carry a notebook everywhere. My studio is always a bit of a mess.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Wegayehu: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
