Bethlehem Netsanet Wolde
Woodcarving artist in Mekelle
- 🇪🇹 Mekelle, Tigray, Ethiopia
- The Mekelle Gallery
- 1989 to 2004
- English, Amharic
I work mostly in woodcarving, sometimes illustration. My first show was in 1989 at The Mekelle Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by old photographs. I make terrible puns.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
More about Bethlehem
If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
Mediums
What gifts mean to Bethlehem: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
