Waweru Kamau Hamisi
Photography artist in Kikuyu
- 🇰🇪 Kikuyu, Kiambu, Kenya
- Bayview Studio
- Since 2008
- English, Swahili
I work mostly in photography, sometimes embroidery. My first show was in 2008 at Bayview Studio, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by the people on my bus route. I run most mornings.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

What gifts mean to Waweru: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
