Lilian Nancy Wafula
Self-taught woodcarving artist
- 🇰🇪 Thika, Kiambu, Kenya
- 1982 to 1998
- English, Swahili
I work mostly in woodcarving, sometimes mural painting. My first show was in 1982 at Eastgate Art Collective, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I carry a notebook everywhere. My studio is always a bit of a mess.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
More about Lilian
I've had 13 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.

What gifts mean to Lilian: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
