For 43 years I've run the chess program at Lecce Holy Cross Swimming Club in Lecce. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I'm always reading two books at once.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
What gifts mean to Viola: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
