For 22 years I've run the athletics program at Kharkiv Sports Club in Kharkiv. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Vera
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Vera: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
