I've coached badminton at Nagpur Football Club since 1982. Most of my players were between 11 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I garden badly but happily.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Venkat
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Venkat: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
