For 27 years I ran the football program at El Paso Youth Club in El Paso. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never turned anyone away.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Varun
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Varun: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
