Uchenna Garba Nnamdi
Master of weaving, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇬 Badagry, Lagos, Nigeria
- Little Badagry Repairs
- Since 1995
- English, Spanish
I've worked in weaving since 1995. I learned from my older brother and passed what I could on to 1,180 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I walk the dog by the river.
More about Uchenna
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Uchenna: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
