Kingsley Lanre Akinwale
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇬 Badagry, Lagos, Nigeria
- The Maple Ridge Trades Guild
- Since 1984
- English, French
I've worked in thatching since 1984. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 1,890 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 13 years later for another job.
What gifts mean to Kingsley: Any gift will help me keep the workshop open for evening lessons.
