Uche Esther Chukwu
Master of painting and decorating, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇬 Abuja, Abuja FCT, Nigeria
- Sunrise Trades Guild
- Since 1988
- English, Hausa
I've worked in painting and decorating since 1988. I learned from my older brother and passed what I could on to 840 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I run most mornings.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Uche: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
