I've worked in tiling from 1979 to 2013. I learned from my uncle and passed what I could on to 1,530 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 10 years later for another job.
More about Travis
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Travis: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
