Mercedes D. Romero
Master of blacksmithing, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇸 Fresno, California, United States
- The Fresno Repairs
- Since 1997
- English
My trade is blacksmithing. I opened my own shop in 1997 in Fresno and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I carry a notebook everywhere.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mercedes
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Mercedes: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
