Tadesse Surafel Kahsay
Sculpture artist in Gondar
- 🇪🇹 Gondar, Amhara, Ethiopia
- Gondar Print Workshop
- Since 1985
- English, Amharic
I work mostly in sculpture, sometimes printmaking. My first show was in 1985 at Gondar Print Workshop, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by my grandmother's kitchen. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
What gifts mean to Tadesse: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
