Surafel Mekonnen Legesse
Painter, potter and teacher at Addis Ababa Pottery
- 🇪🇹 Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
- Addis Ababa Pottery
- 2013 to 2024
- English, Amharic
I work mostly in printmaking, sometimes watercolor. My first show was in 2013 at Addis Ababa Pottery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I also teach a weekly class at Addis Ababa Pottery, which keeps me honest.
More about Surafel
If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
What gifts mean to Surafel: A gift would go toward materials for my next series.
