Siyabonga E. Jacobs

Local bicycle repair and leatherwork

  • 🇿🇦 Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa
  • 1993 to 2016
  • English, Afrikaans
I've worked in bicycle repair from 1993 to 2016. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 690 apprentices. Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I never rush a conversation.

More about Siyabonga

Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Siyabonga: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
